“My energy is all over the place.”I never seem to have enough energy.”

People are saying things like this more and more lately. People are becoming increasingly aware of their energy — and that’s beautiful. But sadly, many are being drawn toward ego-driven solutions that only mask symptoms rather than guide them home to themselves.

There’s no point being aware if you then follow some other quick fix or try and match unrealistic expectations set by the outside world. Crackers. 

Especially for those who’ve been boxed in or labelled — ADHD, neurodivergent, sensitive, “too much,” “too tired” — I see the world throwing quick fixes at you.I feel the confusion. I feel the false hope and let downs. More apps than ever promise to “manage” your energy and “correct” your behaviours. Honestly? It’s all BS. You know that right??

We are not meant to be managed or corrected.
We are wired differently — beautifully, individually, intuitively.

Waking up at 5am, avoiding caffeine, meditating daily — yes, those practices work for some people some of the time. But turning them into rigid routines in the name of productivity or “energy mastery” doesn’t honour your nature.

Because energy isn’t static. It’s always in motion. It’s influenced by so much more than your morning routine.

So give yourself a break and bring some of these things into awareness. Make your life easier and reclaim your energy bank.

Here are just some of the major energy-drainers I see in the people I support:

  • Wearing masks and avoiding emotional healing
  • Holding in emotions instead of facing them
  • Living from ego instead of soul
  • Forcing yourself to “keep up” with life instead of flowing with it
  • Feeling disconnected from your soul purpose
  • Eating foods that don’t align with your body
  • Being around people who drain you
  • Not drinking enough water or overdoing alcohol
  • Lack of sleep or unnatural sleep cycles
  • No space or time alone
  • Pushing through natural cycles like seasons, moon phases, and hormonal rhythms
  • Forgetting we are connected to the greater planetary and cosmic energies

Now contrast that with what truly fuels and nourishes your energy:

  • Living as your authentic self — no masks, no pretence
  • Honoring your feelings
  • Feeling connected to your soul and life’s deeper purpose
  • Eating and resting in tune with your body’s needs
  • Staying well hydrated
  • Spending time with aligned, like-minded people
  • Honouring your boundaries
  • Having sacred time alone to reconnect
  • Living in rhythm with natural cycles: lunar, seasonal, hormonal
  • Noticing and honouring planetary shifts and celestial energy

When you bring these into awareness, you stop obsessing over the hacks and tricks. You begin to feel the natural flow again. And from there, everything shifts.

So go ahead — throw away the productivity rule book.

Your energy isn’t something to “fix” — it’s something to feel.
You’re not a machine. You are not a robot. 

Productivity, motivation, even “high vibes” — these are all constructs that need some serious unpicking (maybe a post for another day).

For now, let this land:

✨You are living in a system that has forgotten how energy really works.

Come home to your rhythm.
